Little Traverse Land Conservancy Education Specialist, Sarah Koetje, will once again lead this exciting adventure on Round Lake on Wednesday, August 18. Choose from two different time slots: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (So more people can enjoy the experience, you may only attend one time slot. We are also currently asking that if you attended the kayak adventure in June to please wait until August to check on availability.)
Six seniors will join Sarah and a representative from Friendship Centers of Emmet County on each trip, for a smooth paddle along the shores of beautiful Round Lake. Sarah will give a kayaking overview and safety instructions before going into the water. The Conservancy is providing kayaks and life jackets free of charge.
We will meet at the DNR boat launch on Powell Road, one mile east of Harbor-Petoskey Road.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that can get wet!
