The Petoskey Parkinson’s Support Group will welcome Alanna Lahey, Associate Director of Disability Network Northern Michigan, and Lasey Rouse, Independent Living Program Specialist, to the meeting on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Learn about resources for adaptive equipment and technology devices to assist persons with Parkinson’s Disease with physical limitations to best manage in their home environment. Learn how to choose reputable stair chair companies and what steps to take for possible Medicare coverage in purchasing.

The Petoskey Parkinson’s Support Group will welcome Kristin Rossi, CEO of the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, to the meeting on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. The Parkinson’s Support Group meets at 2:00 p.m. at the Petoskey Friendship Center, 1322 Anderson Road.
The support group meeting opens with a 7-minute exercise workout geared toward those with Parkinson’s disease. The group topic for discussion will be Home Safety Measures for Parkinson’s Disease, presented by Kristin Rossi. An open round-table session will follow.
Persons with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers are welcome to attend. Donuts and coffee will be provided.
