In-Home Supportive Services

Friendship Centers provides needs-based, simple assistive care to Emmet County senior citizens, aged 60 and over, for the purpose of allowing them to remain living in their home. Eligibility is determined through an initial assessment by a registered nurse and then every 6 months thereafter. No one is turned away for inability to contribute.
Available for 2 hours every other week for a suggested donation of $18 per hour.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Cleaning cupboards, dressers, closets and refrigerators/freezers
- Washing dishes
- Changing and making beds
- Cleaning bathroom sinks, tubs, and showers
- Changing bathroom linens
Available for 2 hours per week per senior for a suggested donation of $18 per hour. Additional hours are available for purchase at $18 per hour.
- Bathing or showering
- Hair care, nail care, oral care
- Assistance with dressing
- Toilet or bedpan use
Available for 4 hours per week per household for a suggested donation of $18 per hour. Additional hours are available for purchase at $18 per hour. Providing relief to regular caregiver.
