Flu Immunization Clinic

Flu Shot Clinics will be offered at Friendship Centers of Emmet County locations for the general public age 18 and over at the Petoskey Friendship Center on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and at the Huber Senior Center in Brutus on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 10 a.m. until noon.

Appointments must be made through the Health Department by calling 800-432-4121 or 231-547-0295. You will need to provide your name, address, date of birth, phone number, social security number, and insurance information (from NEWEST card) when you call to make an appointment.

This year’s flu vaccine will contain protection against four strains of the flu. Pneumonia vaccine (PPSV23) and Prevnar will be available as well. The Covid-19 vaccine is also available for those who have not yet been vaccinated or for those needing a booster dose (meeting certain qualifications). Please check with your physician to see if these vaccines are indicated for you. The Health Department will qualify you when you call to schedule the appointment time.

Medicare B, Medicaid, Blue Care Network, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, McLaren Health Advantage, Tri-Care (Standard), and United Healthcare will also be billed so please bring your insurance cards. All individuals who plan to be vaccinated will be required to have payment and/or their insurance card with them at the time of the clinic. Please check on insurance billing and cost of flu vaccine as well as any other vaccines needed, at the time your appointment is made.
